And then 'forgets' words to national anthem

Earlier in the day, the former Celebrity Apprentice host said during a speech to farmers in Nashville that "we love our flag and we love our anthem and we want to keep it that way".

This is the President of the #United States that we're talking about.

A few weeks ago, President Trump was excoriating NFL players for disrespecting the National Anthem. Unlike the NFL, nearly no college football teams take the field until after the national anthem, according to The Associated Press.

Zac Brown Band had the honor of performing the National Anthem at Monday night's (Jan. 8) NCAA college football national championship game.

Cameras panning to POTUS - who last week called himself "a very stable genius" and "like, very smart" - caught him appearing to momentarily flub the words to his country's most iconic song.

United States faces criticism at Security Council meeting on Iran protests
We will not be quiet. "However worrying the recent events were, they did not constitute a threat to global peace and security". Donald Trump has tweeted his support for the anti-government protesters, warning Iran that the " world is watching ".

Trump was attendance at a college football championship game between Alabama and Georgia. Standing for the National Anthem, he demonstrated an inability or lack of desire to sing along, mouthing certain words while remaining tight-lipped for others - or as the AV Club described, "slowly working his soft jaw like some dead-eyed fish".

Still, other users felt Trump's poor lip-singing was a sign that he might be developing dementia - a rumor that has intensified after "Fire and Fury" author Michael Wolff claimed several people within his own administration frequently question Trump's mental stability and competency.

The president had previously also courted controversy over his singing of the national anthem in May a year ago.

During a rendition of the national anthem when the flag is displayed all present except those in uniform should stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart.

This comment is believed to be relating to the ongoing criticism Trump gave professional football players who kneel during the anthem to protest racial injustice, as well as the NFL itself for allowing it.
