Noble is seeking unspecified damages, accusing Weinstein of being able "to force or coerce" her into sexual activity in his hotel room by promising her a film role and to wield his influence on her behalf.
The claim against Weinstein seeks damages for personal injury, expenses and consequential loss, among others, as well as against the American and British subsidiaries of the Weinstein Company as Weinstein's employer.
But that was until Kadian Noble, an aspiring British actress, made a decision to sue both Harvey and his brother Bob, and the Weinstein Company under federal sex trafficking laws, in order to bring the movie mogul to the justice that his actions over the years, has deserved.
Kadian Noble alleges that Weinstein invited her to his room at the Le Majestic Hotel in Cannes in February 2014, on the pretense of casting her in a movie. Once there, he asked her to sit on couch while they watched the reel and, as they watched, began massaging her before gripping her shoulders and telling her "that she needed to relax, and if she did, his people would have all of her details and would "take care of everything" for her", the suit states. The TWC producer told [Noble] that she needed to be "a good girl and do whatever he wished", and if she did, then "they would work" with her further.
Noble has proceeded to claim that Bob and TWC were equally responsible and had full idea of Harvey's behaviour and intentions with her.
As with numerous allegations by over 80 women that have been made against Weinstein since the New York Times posted its detailed expose on October 5, this case outlines a M.O. of coercion, grabbing and masturbation by the producer.Читайте также: National Football League analyst sounds off on Tennessee's reported hire of Greg Schiano
The Harvey Weinstein sex scandal had created this year's loudest uproar and outrage from women worldwide and then seemingly calmed down for a bit.
He then allegedly took Noble's hands and used it to pleasure himself until completion. She says Weinstein told her at the time that he had a film role in mind for her.
The Weinstein Company did not reply to a request for comment from HuffPost. Federal sex-trafficking law prohibits causing someone to engage in a commercial sex act by means of force, fraud, or coercion (or at all if they're under 18). Even more damning: The suit, obtained by USA TODAY, claims The Weinstein Company violated federal sex trafficking law "by benefiting from, and knowingly facilitating" Weinstein's foreign business travels in which he would "recruit or entice female actors into forced or coerced sexual encounters on the promise of roles in films or entertainment projects".
Police in Beverly Hills, New York, London and Los Angeles are now investigating multiple sexual assault allegations against disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein.
The company's board has previously said it was blindsided by the sexual misconduct allegations against Harvey Weinstein.При любом использовании материалов сайта и дочерних проектов, гиперссылка на обязательна.
