The Suns are finalizing a trade to send Bledsoe to the Bucks, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski and Zach Lowe.
Milwaukee's first-round pick will belong to the Suns in 2018 if in the range of 11-16 overall; in 2019 if in the range of 4-16; in 2020 if in the range of 8-30; and in 2021 it will be unprotected.
According to ESPN, Bledsoe met with Suns owner Robert Sarver and McDonough during the preseason and requested a trade and was told by management that the team had under performed ever since he was given starting point guard responsibilities.
After weeks of speculation, and in fact years since they were first rumored to have interest, the Bucks completed a trade with the Phoenix Suns to acquire Eric Bledsoe on Tuesday morning. Bledsoe is not expected to play with the Bucks on Tuesday.
Bledsoe, 27, averaged career highs in points (21.1), assists (6.3) and rebounds (4.8) last season, but the Suns (24-58) finished with the worst record in the Western Conference.
Bledsoe has been away from the Suns (4-7) since general manager Ryan McDonough sent him home on October 23. He had been averaging 15.7 points per game, second behind Devin Booker, and was the team's on-court leader.
Several Killed as Gunman Opens Fire in Texas Church
Sutherland Springs is an unincorporated community located on the old Spanish land grant of Manuel Tarin in northern Wilson County. During its Sunday morning worship service, a Southern Baptist church in rural Texas became America's latest mass shooting.
The main downside to the deal for the Bucks is that they were unable to jettison any of the undesirable, longer-term contracts belonging to Matthew Dellavedova, Mirza Teletovic or John Henson.
Immediately following the trade news, the Bucks' odds of winning the Eastern Conference went from 12-1 to 10-1, at the Westgate in Las Vegas, and from 50-1 to 40-1 to win the National Basketball Association championship.
Phoenix only hurt themselves by not dealing with the Bledsoe situation then and letting it spill over into the regular season, where it became a public situation. The result was selling low on a talented player.
However, Bledsoe has missed large chunks of four seasons with injuries.
