With the launch of the new Apple iPhone X three days ago, people have lined up as usual to get their hands on one, including all of the groups who can't wait to simply throw it at the ground, hit it with a hammer or let Fido get his chops on it.
SquareTrade claimed that the iPhone X broke on its first drop and that its glass back and lack of a home button made it the least sturdy iPhone to date. In our drop test, the $1,000 phone cracked after one drop, even as Apple argued the iPhone X was "designed to be durable".
Smartphone security brand SquareTrade which offers protection plans for smartphone also done some drop test with the new iPhone X and the results were much drastic than the test performed by CNET.
The side drop was considered the most damaging internally, while the exterior of the phone remained mostly intact.
Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri resigns
Mr Hariri also attacked the Iran-backed Shia movement Hezbollah, which wields considerable power in Lebanon . Hariri meanwhile backs opposition to Assad and enjoys the support of Tehran's regional rival Saudi Arabia .
Dunk Test: The iPhone X faired similar to the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus models, surviving 30 minutes under five feet of water with some audio muffling during playback. Internal brackets, spot welds and foam hold the front-facing cameras firmly in place so they can pull off delicate features like Portrait Mode, and the rear-facing Face ID camera technology comes out of the display when it's separated, making the OLED display replaceable without fiddling with the cameras embedded within it. Meanwhile, the back drop completely shattered the back panel leaving loose shards of glass, making it hard to hold.
In the document, Apple is admitting that the the iPhone X display is not immune to color shift or screen burn-in, two issues the Google Pixel 2 XL is being roasted for.
Tumble Test:Sixty seconds in the Tumble Bot was no friend to the iPhone X either.
YouTubers specialising in gadget abuse have subjected Apple's £1000 iPhone to a range of durability tests and found it to be on par with other well-made high-end smartphones. "The iPhoneX's fragility, along with Apple's $549 fee for most repairs, make it the definition of a high-risk phone". Do you buy accidental damage insurance on your smartphones?
