KBTX will air Hand in Hand benefit concert Tuesday at 7 pm

In the wake of the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma, celebrities and organizers have come together to plan Hand in Hand: A Benefit for Hurricane Relief.

During the broadcast, Justin Bieber stood with religious leaders to pray for the victims affected by the destructive storms.

Actors, athletes and musicians like Leonardo DiCaprio, Beyoncé, Tom Hanks and Justin Bieber jumped at the chance to help. In addition to their fundraising efforts, some other big names in music also showed up to provide the evening's entertainment.

Stephen Colbert announced that Apple was donating $5 million, while Jimmy Fallon added that Albertsons Cos. and Merck gave $1 million each.

Other stars expected to participate include Drake, Matthew McConaughey, Dennis Quaid, Jamie Foxx, Ryan Seacrest, Michael Strahan, Kelly Rowland, George Strait, Reese Witherspoon and others will also participate with taped or live messages or staffing phone banks.
