A delightful tribute to the joy and madness of making movies, The Disaster Artist follows the outrageous adventures of eccentric filmmaker Tommy Wiseau and his best friend, actor Greg Sestero.

"There was a once-a-month screening of "The Room" in Vancouver, so I went there and it was incredible", Franco said before the world premiere of "The Disaster Artist" at the Toronto International Film Festival on Monday. Dave Franco plays Sestero in the film.

Trump administration appeals to Supreme Court on refugee ban
Lower courts had blocked the ban, saying Trump overstepped his authority and unconstitutionally targeted Muslims. The government had asked for a "temporary administrative stay" to give the justices time to consider the issue.

In the film, Franco plays Tommy Wiseau, who wrote, directed and was the male lead in "The Room". "He's in Pirates of the Caribbean.' Then Greg [Sestero] said, 'What about you, James?'" In the movie's most poignant scene, an acting teacher tells Wiseau that with his accent and his looks, he's best suited to villain types, and Tommy insists, "I'm hero".

For Dave, The Disaster Artist finally "felt like the right time and the right project and the right dynamic" to accommodate both brothers' talents in the same film. Hope you're doing okay. James pressed Wiseau to see what he thought about his portrayal in The Disaster Artist, and Wiseau just laughed: "Oh, come on!" The film also stars Seth Rogen, Sharon Stone, Hannibal Buress, Jacki Weaver, Melanie Griffith, Zac Efron, Alison Brie and Megan Mullally. The movie will hit theaters on December 1. There are also a couple of callbacks to The Room in the trailer as well, including some awkward football throwing and Wiseau's insistence that he has to show his ass to sell the movie.
