Apple sends out press invites for Sept 12 event at Apple Park

01 September 2017

September 12 was reported earlier this week by the Wall Street Journal as the likely date for the special fall event, where Apple typically unveils its newest iPhone models and other hardware upgrades. A new edition of the Apple Watch - probably the Series 3 - is also expected to make a debut and introduce an LTE chip to the watch, so that you can use most of its features without tethering it to an iPhone. According to a report in Korea Herald, the speed of the facial-recognition system used in the device will be measured in 'millionths of a second'.

"Apple likes to position its entry-level products at the mid-market with "Pro/Plus" products close to competitors at the high end". This has reportedly been revealed by Robert Hwang, CEO of Taiwan-based iPhone assembler Wistron.

An updated glass and metal finish will allow the device to be charged wirelessly and a new A11 processor could bring one of the most smooth experiences ever to a smartphone.

The invite, includes the words "Let's meet at our place" and features a colourful image of the famous Apple logo.

Still three cricket matches are remaining and the 4th ODI is one of those games which are yet to be played. When I meet them I want to get (to talk to them about) their experience also", Malinga said.

Rumours are rife that Apple has completely redesigned its next flagship to feature a giant edge-to-edge display which will cover nearly the entire front of the phone.

He said the flagship iPhone 8 will start from $850, which is around £682. Besides these two sensors will be a "Smart" camera with improved scene and object detection. Users will be able to tap on the screen to wake the handset, a functionality widely used in majority of the Android smartphones.

Thus, industry analysts like Bloomberg's Mark Gurman are of the view that removal of the home button will mark a big change.
