PSG Agree €155m Mbappe Fee With Monaco

31 August 2017

PSG is reportedly close to sealing a loan move for Mbappe, with an option to buy the prolific 18-year-old for 180 million euros ($216 million) next season.

In terms of Jovetic to Monaco, we reported last week that the former Manchester City striker could return to the Premier League with Newcastle or Brighton, according to Sky Sports, but that now looks unlikely after these latest leaked pictures.

That saw Monaco join PSG at the top of the Ligue 1 table with four wins from four games at the start of the season.

Monaco, with the itchy-footed Mbappe on the bench all night, thrashed Marseille 6-1 on Sunday.

Defending champion Monaco signed forwards Stevan Jovetic from Inter Milan and Keita Balde from Lazio on Tuesday, pre-empting the anticipated departure of Kylian Mbappe to Paris Saint-Germain. Having already secured the world record €222m signing of Neymar from Barcelona, Mbappe will arrive as comfortably the most expensive teenager of all time. It is not my role to discuss that.

North Atlantic Treaty Organisation and Moscow spar over plans for major Russian war games
The war games are scheduled to be held from September 14 to 20 and will simulate repelling an attack by extremist groups. Russian Federation said the scale of the exercise was in line with worldwide rules.

"I needed him for the game, but at 4-0 I changed my mind and played other players".

"Unai Emery made me play a good part of the past season in this position and that's really not where I express myself best".

Monaco captain Radamel Falcao added: "It's complicated for him".

Mbappe refused to speak to French television at the end of Sunday's game. With these signings, the Qatar-owned club are mounting a very public challenge to the financial rules of European football's governing body, and Uefa will face a test of its credibility when this accounting period is assessed next year. But the PSG who intend to wrest back the title and break the glass ceiling in Europe that has kept them from featuring in an Uefa Champions League final, were hardly crying out for a new goalscorer, either. We will try to help [the clubs understand the rules].
