Beginning in September, customers will be able to place orders with Walmart via Google Express, Google's e-commerce platform. Existing Walmart customers will simply have to link their Walmart account to Google to receive personalized shopping results based on previous online and in-store Walmart purchases.
Walmart is one of the most popular and known corporate giant in the USA which is teaming up with Google to provide Voice Assistant service to make your shopping more easier. Google's Home is one of the best smart speaker to help you out in many ways, we have even heard about Google's small smart speaker on which they are now working on! Lore asserted that the partnership would render the largest number of items now offered from a retailer through the platform. Further, Walmart's Easy Reorder feature, which launched last month, allows shoppers to quickly add goods they've purchased before-either online or in store-to their lists. From next year, shoppers will also be able to pick up an order from a Walmart store.
He added that Wal-Mart has bigger plans for voice shopping next year that will involve capitalizing on its 4,700 United States stores to "create customer experiences that don't now exist within voice shopping anywhere else".
Divers search flooded USS John S. McCain; sailors still missing
The Navy's top admiral on Monday ordered a fleetwide review of seamanship and training in the Pacific after the latest collision. Divers have reportedly found remains during their search for 10 missing sailors in the flooded wreckage of the USS John S.
As an incentive to use the service, Ramaswamy noted that, along with other "exciting experiences" to come, Google is eliminating the $95 annual fee for Google Express shopping services through its partnering retailers, starting today. Google Express earns money on commissions from those merchants. That prompted Walmart to integrate its "Easy Reorder" feature into Google Express. Next year, Walmart will also leverage its retail store network to offer experiences "that don't now exist within voice shopping anywhere else", which will also include the ability to purchase fresh produce across the country.
As The New York Times mentions in its report, this will be the first time that the largest retailer in the world will be making its products available outside of its own website in the United States. It seems that's what Google's strategy is, in trying to beat Amazon and in particular, Amazon Prime and its same-day deliver service.
"When it comes to voice shopping, we want to make it as easy as possible for our customers", Lore said in the release. Amazon is now leading the new voice shopping e-commerce platform, as its retail business is already deeply integrated with its Alexa voice assistant.
