Erica Newsome was arrested after her 11-year-old daughter's body was found near the scene of a traffic crash in West Virginia, police said.

Police say Newsome told them she was headed to Buffalo, where she formerly lived and where her daughter's father now is located.

"I can't even wrap my head around what even would have made [my wife] snap", Plummer told the station.

"It was obvious that the 11-year-old did not die from injuries from the accident", State Police Sgt.

According to the Pocahontas Times, Erica Newsome, of Jacksonville, Florida, struck a guardrail when a couple saw her removing and disposing a body from her vehicle.

The 11-year-old child's mother, Erica Newsome of Jacksonville, Florida, lost control and wrecked the auto around 11 a.m. on Sunday, The Pocahontas Times said.

"Something pushed her over the edge and she snapped", he told News 4 Jax. She said in a Miranda statement that she planned to take the girl to Buffalo, New York, where her estranged husband lived, according to the newspaper. The 37-year-old was found with the body on an old logging road about 150 from an embankment.

Instead, she finally did the principled thing and resigned. "I am certain that British Columbia's best days lie ahead", she said. Former Kootenay East MLA Bill Bennett, who retired before the May election, tweeted out his support for Clark's decision.

Newsome was arrested and jailed on the charge of concealing a dead body.

"At this time, foul play is suspected in the child's death and we believe the death occurred in Jacksonville, Florida."

The girl's father, Donath Plummer, told WJXT4 television in Jacksonville that Newsome texted him Saturday morning, saying she was bringing their daughter to Buffalo.

"They had said they found them at the scene of the accident, but they don't believe, they didn't believe my daughter had died in the accident".

Officials said detectives from the Jacksonville, Florida Sheriff's Department and the West Virginia State Police Department-Marlinton Detachment will investigate the vehicle accident and Kaye-lea Plummer's death.

On Sunday, police came to his workplace with news that his daughter was dead, he said. 'Something is very, very wrong. "I can't imagine what she actually went through". "She needs help. She really needs help".

"She knew she had vehicle issues and didn't want to be driving at interstate speeds", Barlow said.
