Apple announces a bunch of new emojis on World Emoji Day

While there's a handful of playful options - from a coconut and a sandwich to a "mind blown" emoji - several feature more inclusive roles for women, such as one wearing a headscarf and another breastfeeding.

There are hundreds of emoji now available on iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac, and these new emoji will add more fun element to your message.

In celebration of World Emoji Day, Apple has unveiled a new set of emojis that will arrive later this year across Apple devices.

Apple's new emoji are based on 56 new characters announced by Unicode Consortium last month.

Apple has released to betas of iOS 11 to beta testers and the final roll out of the OS is expected to take place this fall.
