Disappearance of 4 men in Pennsylvania — TIMELINE

14 July 2017

Cadaver dogs led investigators to the hole, which Weintraub identified as a "common grave".

"We are not done yet".

Earlier on Wednesday, a 20-year-old whose parents own the farm was named as a "person of interest" in the case, and charged with stealing a auto that belonged to Meo, one the missing men.

The Dinardo family owns a cement and construction company called Cosan LLC. There are human remains of others in the grave, but police do not yet know how many.

"We're not going to rest until we get through every inch of that property", Weintraub said, according to The Associated Press.

Jimi Tar Patrick, 19, of Newtown Township, was the first to go missing last Wednesday. Finocchiaro was last seen on Friday, July 7.

Police say the Loyola University Maryland student, 19, also didn't show up for work. DiNardo and Patrick both went to Holy Ghost Preparatory School in Bensalem.

Pennsylvania authorities and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are searching for four young men between the ages of 19 and 22 who vanished within days of each other last week, one on Wednesday and three on Friday.

Close friends Sturgis and Meo were last seen near the Doylestown area in Bucks County, CNN affiliate KYW-TV reported.

Police teams searching for four missing men have made a heartbreaking discovery. After that, she had no contact with Meo, which was "out of the ordinary and not common", court documents said. Little has been said about how all the young men are connected or what might have led to the disappearance of the four. "We wanted to be supportive and comforting for our community", said Wyatt McLeod, who lives in Bucks County. DiNardo allegedly tried to sell Meo's auto for $500 to a friend, Weintraub said. Weintraub said that DiNardo tried to sell it the day after Meo vanished.

Weintraub said on Wednesday afternoon that DiNardo is back in custody for stealing a auto owned by Meo.

The auto was still registered to Meo and had not been legally exchanged. An affidavit in that case said he is "known to be suffering from mental illness".

Meo's diabetic kit, "which he would never leave without", was found inside the auto, Weintraub said.

On Monday, police arrested Cosmo Dinardo on a prior felony weapons charge and are now considering him a person of interest.

In the February gun charge he still faces, DiNardo is accused of illegally being in possession of a shotgun and ammunition because of a previous involuntary commitment to a mental health institution. He was released from Bucks County jail on Tuesday night after 10 percent of his $1 million bail was paid by his father.

DiNardo is now being held on $5,000,000 bail.

Fortunato Perri Jr., an attorney representing the Dinardo family, released a statement, WPVI reported.

At least some of the missing men are friends, but it's unclear how well they knew DiNardo, if at all.

Police unearthed the remains after a four-day search of a farm in Solebury Township, located about 30 miles north of Center City Philadelphia.

Fire and rescue crews on Thursday were using plywood to help shore up the deep grave as investigators worked inside under intense heat and choking dust.

"This investigation is still wide open", Weintraub said. "We're committed to seeing this through to the end, regardless of what it's going to take". "As a parent, it's been sickening to watch this".
