Executive producer Brian Grazer later said everything "should be happening soon" in January of this year, but by then fans didn't know who to trust.

It was announced over a year ago that Arrested Development's fifth season was in the works, but the lack of any updates since had fans a bit anxious.

As reported by Variety, Jason Bateman's tweet was sprinkled with a little bit of in-universe Arrested Development humor. However, there's no information yet as to when fans can expect new episodes to premiere on Netflix. "We're plugging along. It's a long, complex deal", Sarandos reportedly said.

In addition to Bateman, the cast included Portia de Rossi, Will Arnett, Michael Cera, Alia Shawkat, Tony Hale, David Cross, Jeffrey Tambor and Jessica Walter.
